Scorpio, I think you just might be changing my mind. I will look into W10
and maybe go in that direction after all. I may have some questions for you
later after I do some researching. Thanks much,

Hi Fred,

I think you should know that if your computer can run Windows 8.1, then it
should have no problem running Windows 10, as it's the most slimmed down
version of Windows I've ever seen thus far from them, especially when you
take into account all the features it currently possesses.

The computer I'm upgrading is a Windows 7, 32 bit computer, and it is about
7 years old, and I should know, since I built the monster myself. LOL.

In any case, Windows 10 will give you less of a learning curve from 7 to 10,
not to mention handling your resources much more effectively.

What ever you decide to do, good luck.

Scorpio

why not try getting the free windows 10 upgrade. if you got the get windows
10 notification just click it and reserve a copy. then just use the win 10
media creation tool to upgrade your computer.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] W 8.1 upgrade

I am using W7, outlook 2010 and latest jaws at present. I am having
problems with W7 installing windows updates. A Microsoft technician went
through my computer and told me that the only solution to my problem is to
get a computer repair tech to repair my computer and the other solution is
to upgrade to W8.1 or W10. The computer is to old for W10 but I think it
could handle W8.1. I would like to know if there is a big learning curve
between W7 and W8.1 as I think that might be the cheapest way to go.This is
my old backup and experimental computer so I am looking for easiest and
cheapest way out. This is an old computer but still works pretty well.
Thanks for any suggestions or advice.
