Gerald:

I appreciate this info, but am a bit reluctant to upgrade to IE 11 right
now.

I know the experiences of others will differ, but some may recall that I
updated to IE 11 late last Spring, and began having all sorts of trouble
entering text into text edit boxes on the web sites I use for various
purposes.

I worked with FS Technical Support and the Microsoft Accessibility Hotline
people, and we could never solve the problem.

I ultimately rolled back to IE 10, and all is now fine.

I'm currently using Jaws 16 and Windows 7, and am hoping that maybe the new
Jaws 17 will fix this issue.

Will just have to wait and see, I guess.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Time to Upgrade to IE 11

Microsoft recently announced that it will end support for older versions of
Internet Explorer on Jan. 12, 2016, less than three months from now, so if
you are running Windows 7 or later as most of us are, you will have to
upgrade to IE 11 in order to continue receiving security updates and
patches. Beginning on that date, IE 10 and earlier will no longer be
supported for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. So now may be a good time to
upgrade to IE 11 if you have not already done so, or consider switching to
Firefox full time if you are having trouble with IE 11. Click below for
