Neil:

Even though I'm using IE 10 here, I'm basically in the same boat as you are.

My hope is that Jaws 17 will fix the issue with IE 11, so that we can all
upgrade relatively problem free.

Normally, I would think the issue was totally on my end here, but since
neither FS nor the Microsoft Accessibility hotline people could help resolve
my issue with the forms field edit boxes, I think the problem is something
larger.

Interestingly, a number of others are successfully using IE 11 with Jaws 16,
and don't seem to have the issue I'm having. So, I'm not exactly sure what
more to say at this time.

Hello Gang:
I got a refurbished Windows 7 machine last year to replace an xp. Two
people have tried to upgrade to something higher than IE 9. Neither was
successful.
One of those techs was at the MS Accessibility desk. They got IE 11, but it
was unuseable, as in could not use the bank web site plus others.
I called MS back to roll it back to IE 9. Now, I have no problems.
Not sure what I am going to do with this news!

Microsoft recently announced that it will end support for older versions of
Internet Explorer on Jan. 12, 2016, less than three months from now, so if
you are running Windows 7 or later as most of us are, you will have to
upgrade to IE 11 in order to continue receiving security updates and
patches. Beginning on that date, IE 10 and earlier will no longer be
supported for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. So now may be a good time to
upgrade to IE 11 if you have not already done so, or consider switching to
Firefox full time if you are having trouble with IE 11. Click below for
