No problem, I respect your opinion but personally, I like the sounds so that I
know what my system is doing and where it is at.

If it were me, I would not mess with the registry tweak to w-10.
I don't understand what all the fuss is about.
When you use the quick start feature of w-10 you come to the log-in screen in
about 10 seconds, who cares about any windows sounds.
This is not important, does not effect Jaws, does not harm your computer in any
way by using quick start up in w-10.
But you would have people to mess with their registries, which can totally mess
up their w-10 computers.LOL.
I advise against this...
Just my two cents worth...

Love God! with your heart, mind, and soul, that you might be blessed reaching
His goal.
Love your Neighbor as you would yourself, God will truly reward you with good
health.
Love God, your neighbor, as you love yourself, you will then be spiritually
balanced with wealth.
Love His Word that proceeds from His lips, then reflect on the heavens where
God sits.

Hi David and all,

I did the hack as outlined.
for some reason there is no shutdown sound even though I went into sounds and
selected a sound and pressing the test button gave the sound.

Any ideas?
