Thanks for this. I will try it tomorrow as the computer with MS Word 2013 turned in for the night. I did get it turned off with a lot of testing. I went into Options in Word and just started tabbing through each category. When I got to Display, I tabbed to a check box for hidden characters and unchecked it. It worked. I still do not know how I managed to turn it on. I am guessing the mousepad on the laptop is the culprit.

Yes, it is an MS Word feature. If that doesn't work, please post again because there's a possible JAWS answer, too. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of wayne smith Sent: Monday, February 29, 2016 5:56 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] Turn off hidden characters Hello- I am using a loaner computer with JAWS 15 and MS Word 2013. I was working in a doc when it suddenly started reading hidden features like paragraph mark, new line and dimensions of things. I think it is a MS Word feature but it may be JAWS. Since I don't know how I turned it on and I am not used to the layout of Word 2013 I could use some help in turning off the features. Thanks in advance for any help.
