Hi Tom, Jim has told me that when you update to Office 16 you still will have Office 2010 on your pc and you can still use it. So while learning 16 you can still use 2010 office. Ed

You bring up a good point about keeping the new Office 2016 configurations, especially if I might be doing collaborative work with other Office 2016 users. I'm not against a learning curve; just want to know how much of one there will be. If it is possible to make this change, it will make it easier for you now. However, if you do collaborative work with co-workers at your computer, or if someone is helping you, they will not be able to successfully work with you as they will have made the transition to 2016 and you will have not. Of course if you do not find yourself in either of these situations, then finding a way to make 2016 feel like 2010 might be the best option for you. Do you know of any way that you can make Microsoft Word 2016 under Office 365 look and act like Microsoft Word 2010? I've gotten used to that layout over the last few years, and would like to continue it if possible. Thank you! Now word 2016 has a new interface when you open it. There is a grid of form layouts, you can choose from. While in this start page, you can press ALT+F, to get a list of documents on your computer. At the bottom of this list, is a see more document link. Pressing enter on any of your documents opens them in word 2016. If you don't wish to use this start page, you can turn it off under the word settings. I am personally having no issues right now. Using Jaws 17 on two W-10 computers with Office 365. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf of Tom Behler Sent: Friday, May 13, 2016 9:49 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Office 365 subscription with Jaws 17 Jim: For a number of reasons which I won't bother you with here, I too am about to take the plunge into Office 365. My University has used it for the past year or so, and I've very successfully used Outlook e-mail as well, so I'm going to download and install it onto my personal computer. Your experience thus far is encouraging, since it seems that you are having no major accessibility issues. If there is something I should be aware of when getting things installed and set up, please let me know. I'm not the most computer savy person in the world, so please try to keep it simple. (smile) I'm using Windows 7 with Jaws 16 here. I took the full plunge! I purchased the full Office 365 monthly subscription for the $9.99 per month. I wanted to let all you know that the Microsoft store is totally accessible with Jaws 17. Very easy to use. After buying the subscription, I went to Office.com, which is also totally accessible, and downloaded the full Office 365 suit. I went to a page on the same sight under my account, I added a second computer, and sent an invite to my laptop computer. I then opened that email on the laptop, followed the invitation link to download Office 365 to the laptop, then I installed it on the laptop. All went very smoothly with Jaws 17. What all do you get with Office 365? Word, Excel, Outlook, power point, and so on for all the 2016 versions of these programs. You also get 1 TB of OneDrive storage. You get 60 free minutes of skype per month to call land lines. You get full technical support 24/7. You get 5 licenses for computers, other licenses for iPhones, iPads, and also for android devices. All for either $9.99 per month, or $99.99 per year. I have spent most of today setting up the laptop and setting up email accounts in outlook 2016. All is working great. See you can teach an old dog like me new tricks! Or in this case, new programs. God bless.
