If you look at each filename and the explanatory list beneath that list, you'll
see the one you want (English) has "en" after the second dash. The first in the
list I looked at had "ar" for Arabic after this dash.

Hi all,
There were many dictionaries to choose from by checking a box. I chose the
first one, over 7 Meg, and when I tried to install it, it said that this
program is not applicable for your computer. I am running win10 1511 build
64 bit with IE 11. Are there some dictionaries, I wonder, that work for
win10 but not others. There is a huge list of dictionaries you can check and
download. We will have to play around with this some more. Let us see what we
can all get together and do so we can spell check in IE11.
Take care.

Kimsan, thanks for this. However, after I downloaded the program, MS notified
me that it's already installed on my system. It begs the question how do I make
it work? I mean, it's nice to have, but I didn't download it for decorative
purposes. If you don't have an answer at hand, I'll go hunting with Google.

Hi,
Well, welcome to the club. I have exactly the same issue that you do. I have
Firefox able to spell check, but with IE, I cannot figure out anything to get
that browser to spell check. I do not think that you can have IE spell check,
but let us see if someone can give us the Miracle lOL!
I would absolutely love it if I could spell check in IE, because that is the
browser that I use for Facebook, and many times, I cannot spell a work in
Facebook.
Take care,
David Moore

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Spell check for IE 11

Hello all:

Using windows 8.1-64, latest Jaws16 and IE11.

Could someone please tell me if there is a Spellcheck for IE11? I tired looking
in the internet, but there seems to no be one.

Someone asked about this in the microsoft community, and someone answered them
to check in control panel misspelled and another option regarding the suabject.
Mine are checked, but it doesn’t check my spelling. Could it be that Jaws
doen’t detect mistakes in this case?

I managed to find spell checks in English and Spanish for FireFox, but not for
IE11.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Teresa Arroyo Llosa
