I found another program for spell checking on the internet, and it's called speckie. http://speckie.com/
The only thing I don't like about it as one would need to know what the misspelled word is, unless you have some sight, wait a minute hahah, I just remembered you could have jaws indicate a misspelled word, so when you hear that, focus on the word, bring up the context menu and press enter on the correct spelling. The first in the list I looked at had "ar" for Arabic after this dash. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Moore Sent: Friday, July 22, 2016 6:39 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Spell check for IE 11 Hi all, There were many dictionaries to choose from by checking a box. I chose the first one, over 7 Meg, and when I tried to install it, it said that this program is not applicable for your computer. I am running win10 1511 build 64 bit with IE 11. Are there some dictionaries, I wonder, that work for win10 but not others. There is a huge list of dictionaries you can check and download. We will have to play around with this some more. Let us see what we can all get together and do so we can spell check in IE11. Take care. However, after I downloaded the program, MS notified me that it's already installed on my system. It begs the question how do I make it work? I mean, it's nice to have, but I didn't download it for decorative purposes. If you don't have an answer at hand, I'll go hunting with Google. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Kimsan Sent: Friday, July 22, 2016 5:17 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Spell check for IE 11 This might help? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40289 Kimsan Song [email protected] -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Moore Sent: Friday, July 22, 2016 2:10 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Spell check for IE 11 Hi, Well, welcome to the club. I do not think that you can have IE spell check, but let us see if someone can give us the Miracle lOL! I would absolutely love it if I could spell check in IE, because that is the browser that I use for Facebook, and many times, I cannot spell a work in Facebook. Could someone please tell me if there is a Spellcheck for IE11? I tired looking in the internet, but there seems to no be one. Someone asked about this in the microsoft community, and someone answered them to check in control panel misspelled and another option regarding the suabject. Mine are checked, but it doesn’t check my spelling. Could it be that Jaws doen’t detect mistakes in this case? I managed to find spell checks in English and Spanish for FireFox, but not for IE11. Thank you in advance.
