Jim and Tom, thanks for your responses. It gives my friend a workaround. Still, I'm saddened that one of his first JAWS experiences is with a website that defies accessibility and requires special treatment. It isn't the message Citibank or any other reputable organization should be sending those starting out on the path to independence.

The accessible version is the print version and works great, but does not have all site features like the alerts. I recommend calling the web site tech group - customer service can connect you - andwork through the steps to get the accessible version. Bill pay is a snap, one reason why i don't change banks.
