Jim and Tom, thanks for your responses. It gives my friend a workaround. Still, 
I'm saddened that one of his first JAWS experiences is with a website that 
defies accessibility and requires special treatment. It isn't the message 
Citibank or any other reputable organization should be sending those starting 
out on the path to independence.

I had a heck of a time when the new page format was installed but somehow I 
managed to find the accessible version. somehow I got the accessible link to 
work.  The accessible version is the print version and works great, but does 
not have all site features like the alerts.  I recommend calling the web site 
tech group - customer service can connect you - andwork through the steps to 
get the accessible version.

Bill pay is a snap, one reason why i don't change banks.  Chase has a nice 
feature which allows money to be eft'd to another person by supplying an e-mail 
- and it's accessible.  Bank of America's site is accessible, too.
