Hi Adrian, In step #5, 5. In the Apply as you type section, un-check Automatic bulleted lists, then right arrow once and check Automatic numbered lists. Is checking, Automatic numbered lists, correct or, should this be, uncheck? Just want to make sure before I save this note. Thanks much. Take care. Mike Sent from my iBarstool. Tom, I hope David Whitehead won't mind if I re-post his instructions with some slight modifications. I notice his original didn't include the right arrow step to reach auto numbering. I'm working in Outlook 2010, but it looks as though the steps haven't changed from 2010 to 2016 because David's 2016 instructions work on my system. One question that remains for me is whether it's necessary to tab over to "Okay." I did so just in case, but it would be nice if we didn't have to. 1. From the File tab, click Options. Alt+f, t. 2. Select Mail and click the Spelling and Autocorrect button. You can press letter "m"=mail, or down-arrow to mail. Do not press enter. Tab. Enter on Spelling and Autocorrect button 3. In the Proofing section, click AutoCorrect Options. Tab enter on, AutoCorrect Options 4. Click the AutoFormat As You Type tab. 5. In the Apply as you type section, un-check Automatic bulleted lists, then right arrow once and check Automatic numbered lists. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tom Behler Sent: Sunday, October 23, 2016 5:26 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Stopping Auto numbering In Outlook 2016 continued Ah, ok, Adrian. You may be right. When I get some time later tonight, I'll give things a try again, especially with regard to your latest suggestion, and will let you know how things turn out. I appreciate your and everyone's patience! When you land on the bullets checkbox, don't tab. Instead, right arrow once. Then automatic numbering turns up. Not exactly intuitive, I agree. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tom Behler Sent: Sunday, October 23, 2016 2:38 PM To: 'Jaws users list' Subject: [JAWS-Users] Stopping Autonumbering In Outlook 2016 continued Hello, everyone. I have tried the steps sent to me by Kimsan, David, and Joseph, and still can't get auto-numbering to be turned off in Outlook 2016 e-mails. I am not sure if this is a Jaws issue, because when I get to the auto-numbering as you type options, I can find auto-bulleting which I have unchecked, but can't find auto-numbering. Again, I must point out that I'm using Outlook 2016 with Office 365 and Windows 7 here. This is extremely frustrating, and should not be this difficult.
