Adrian: I'm still not having much luck here.
In my version of Outlook 2016, again using Office 365 and Windows 7, I cannot find auto-numbering to uncheck, by pressing the right arrow key one time after unchecking auto-bulleting. The option just does not seem to be there. I think I'm going to have to get sighted assistance on this issue, although I'll be happy to try other suggestions. I notice his original didn't include the right arrow step to reach auto numbering. I'm working in Outlook 2010, but it looks as though the steps haven't changed from 2010 to 2016 because David's 2016 instructions work on my system. One question that remains for me is whether it's necessary to tab over to "Okay." I did so just in case, but it would be nice if we didn't have to. 1. From the File tab, click Options. Alt+f, t. 2. Select Mail and click the Spelling and Autocorrect button. You can press letter "m"=mail, or down-arrow to mail. Do not press enter. Tab. Enter on Spelling and Autocorrect button 3. In the Proofing section, click AutoCorrect Options. Tab enter on, AutoCorrect Options 4. Click the AutoFormat As You Type tab. 5. When you land on the bullets checkbox, don't tab. Instead, right arrow once. Then automatic numbering turns up. I have tried the steps sent to me by Kimsan, David, and Joseph, and still can't get auto-numbering to be turned off in Outlook 2016 e-mails. I am not sure if this is a Jaws issue, because when I get to the auto-numbering as you type options, I can find auto-bulleting which I have unchecked, but can't find auto-numbering. Again, I must point out that I'm using Outlook 2016 with Office 365 and Windows 7 here. This is extremely frustrating, and should not be this difficult.
