It's not at all clear what you're really saying. Do you mean that there are no checks on the items? I seriously doubt that the JAWS version has much to do with this, since you're dealing with what is, after all, an Outlook Express function and not a JAWS function. Pressing the SPACEBAR has always been the way to check or uncheck checkable items in Windows with JAWS since at least version 3.5. If the check marks aren't being announced, try turning on all graphics in the dialog and labeling them.
