As others have explained, you should have Verizon set you up with your own mailbox. However, the name that appears in the headers of mail you send is determined in the account setting in Outlook Express. Bear in mind that if you have a lot of list subscriptions or friends who have your current e-mail address that getting a new mailbox from Verizon is going to mean that you'll have to notify everyone of your new address and change it for every list you receive.

When I send email, my mother's name comes up as the sender because I'm under her Verizon account. Is there any way of manually changing it from Ruth to Ken or does Verizon need to do that? ~Ken~ Visit the JAWS Users list home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com For a complete list of email commands pertaining to the JAWS Users List send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit the new archives page at the following address http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Yahoo!
