This is why I prefer a router--you never receive such messages requesting 
individual program authorization. Are you sure that those things are trying 
to get _in_ your computer or are they applications that are trying to access 
the network, such as your e-mail client, Internet Explorer, etc? It's more 
usual that this is the case, but if they really are things trying to get in, 
you definitely don't want to authorize them unless you know exactly what 
they are. You'll have to ask individually about specific messages, since 
there's just no way to give a general answer. Remember the CTRL+JAWS Key+W 
keystroke to place messages into the virtual buffer for copying and 
including in e-mail.

Walt, I installed the sygate firewall program that David has put up on the
jaws users homepage.  Now it is dinging away, asking me whether or not I
want a multitude of things access.  It is a bunch of things that it says are
trying to get into my computer.  Do I say yes or no?  I don't even know what
