The rule of thumb is if it's something you want to be able to access the internet then check the box to allow it. Other wise say no. I don't recall right off how to turn off the feature bugging you every time a program tries to get in to your system. I agree it's a bit bothersome, but you want to know what is trying to get out of your computer for sure. Walt, I installed the sygate firewall program that David has put up on the jaws users homepage. Now it is dinging away, asking me whether or not I want a multitude of things access. It is a bunch of things that it says are trying to get into my computer. Do I say yes or no? I don't even know what most of them are. marilyn [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Visit the JAWS Users list home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com For a complete list of email commands pertaining to the JAWS Users List send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit the new archives page at the following address http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Yahoo!
