I have found myself needing to migrate from XP Home 32 bit to Windows 7
Pro 32 bit a little earlier than I had planned. I am running Jbase 3.4.7
developer version in Universe emulation. My XP machine motherboard was
in the process of a meltdown (literally, caps were swollen, ready to
explode), but my service guy was able to use Windows Easy Transfer and
get pretty much everything off the XP machine and onto a new one. As an
aside, this new machine isn't fast, it's sudden!
It's going pretty well, but getting Jbase working is rather involved.
Thhe biggest challenge I have right now is getting the system and user
environment variables merged into Win7. Does anyone have a method easier
than manually entering them one at a time?

Yes it's possible and yes get a 'pro' version (avoid anything from
Microsoft with home anywhere in the name), and it's simplest if you
get a 32 bit version.
3.4.10 is the last version, but we have a few laggards so you might
try whatever version you have in hand.
Depending on which version you are currently running going to 3.4.10
may require recompilation.
Install the .NET Framework SDK V1.1 (to get the C compiler) first.
