No kidding.. and as a bit of "the spider in the net" I have to keep
track of 'em all.. sigh.. but that's my problem, and I'm paid to do it

Good point! Which is why we have componentized the container to such a
degree that you will always be able to look at one particular piece that
you're interested in, and am able to handle. The pieces are much much
simpler to cope with than the entire thing.

This of course depends greatly on what you want to do. It's not really
possible to say "you need this and that". The best way is (of course) to
test and see what you yourself think about its performance on any given
platform.
However, since it is fairly lightweight I can at least say that the
hardware requirements are in general much lower than other servers (some
of which seem to require quite a hefty piece of metal just to get
started).
Seems reasonable? :-)
