I tend to think it would actually be a good idea. I don't see paid
support services replacing this mailing list. I see paid support
services offering value beyond that of this list. This might include
phone support, formal patches/fixes, training services, etc. When
working on a project with a tight time schedule, you cannot always
afford to wait for a mail response or work through
describing/understanding problems and solutions through email. I think
such services would be very beneficial to the corporate world and would
help promote JBoss as a "legitimate" contender.
