The monitoring part is written in C++ and uses gloox and mysql. Maybe I'll add support for other database management systems. The web interface is a Drupal module, therefore written in PHP. I choose to write it as Drupal module because it already has a secure user and right management and you can easily change the look using another theme.

What language is it written? Is it open source? Did you use a existing
monitoring framework?
