no use for flame wars. I too like nicely presented content, and there is (IN PRINCIPLE!) not *one* thing to be said against dynamic content in emails!!! but not in the stupidest possible way.... a mail client that not only opens dynamic content automatically, but also exposes sensitive info (address book) *and* the ability to send out mails to this code without even asking (and as "standard" feature), and all this on an OS without a privilege system and security holes as big as barn doors.... you can't even say these are really security "holes" - you cannot mend them, the design is based on the wrong paradigma (single user/access all) question: do you happily use a lot of activeX components from remote untrusted websites or do you prefer applets that execute in a "sandbox" and under the eyes of a security manager? see.... and this finally brings us back to JAVA, which was designed primarily with security considerations in mind. that's one of the reasons why I like it, may C++ code be faster.... ;o) cheers -- +++ GMX - Mail, Messaging & more http://www.gmx.net +++ NEU: Mit GMX ins Internet.
