We have several customers who have done such implementations of NMS
and ILOG has also done similar work. Our Eclipse and Rete++ engines
have a syntax similar to that of CLIPS. ILOG's syntax is more C++ like
and is derived from OPS5. AT&T Bell Labs R++ is more limited than
than any of the Rete Algorithm-based engines (including OPS5, CLIPS,
JESS, ILOG, or ours).
Ours are more efficient and functional than the others.
The good thing about CLIPS or JESS are that they are free.
Of course, we believe you get what you pay for...
