Dear Friend,

We should always be quick to be kind and loving towards those around us
because how we treat them will leave a lasting impression upon their lives.
We as children of the Most High God must remember that we are acting in His
stead and our actions reflect directly upon the Lord. We must show
kindness when others are rude, show our love when hatred is thrust upon us
and esteem others higher than we esteem ourselves even when all they show
us is selfishness. The Lord Jesus says the first shall be last and the
last shall be first. The Lord wishes for us all to be clothed with
humility preferring others higher than we prefer ourselves. Be encouraged
to show love, encouragement, blessings, and kindness to everyone. Be an
example of God's love to all who come near to you and show them what true
love and care looks like. (Matthew 19:30) (Philippians 2:3) (Romans 12:9-10)

I hope this message ministers to your heart to remember that how you treat
others will be remembered by them far longer than you may ever think or imagine.

A LASTING IMPRESSION

"Jimmy, look at the impression you left in the sand," the man said to his son.

"Daddy what's a 'pression?'" the young child asked.

"That's 'impression' Jimmy. The spot where you were lying on the sand sunk
in around your body and when you got up it was there. Your feet do the same
thing, they leave footprints."

"Oh, but you can't see my face," Jimmy replied.

"No, because you were lying on your back. It's like the impression you put
in Mr. Johnson's new cement sidewalks."

"You mean my hand print?"

"Yes, but you also left another kind of impression. An impression on his mind."

"Mr. Johnson's brain is made of sand?"

His father laughed and then leaned over for one of those 'parental moments'.

"No, you left an impression on his memory. It's called a bad impression.
When you do something to someone you leave them with a bad memory. Every
time he walks out the door he sees your hand print there in that first
step. I'm sure he remembers you daily."

"Well, Daddy. I was trying to do something good. I did that so he would
see me waving 'Hi' every morning."

His Dad tried not to laugh. He didn't want Jimmy to think it was okay to do
what he did.

"So my impression will stay here on the beach forever, too?"

"No, it will be gone in the morning."

"Who's going to take it?"

"Well, God washes the beach every night so the next day we can do it again.
It's like God's big drawing board. He likes to see our artwork."

Jimmy sat for a minute and then suddenly ran to get his bigger shovel and pail.

"Where are you going?"

"Up here where the water can't take it away," Jimmy said.

Dad watched from a distance as he saw Jimmy draw a great big circle-like
figure in the sand. Then after a few minutes Jimmy yelled to him.

"Daddy, How do you spell 'Loves'?"

"L-o-v-e-s!"

Finally, out of curiosity, Dad got up and stood nearby. There in the sand
was a huge heart-like circle with these words..."God Lovs Yo"

Not wanting to spoil the moment, Dad didn't bother to correct his spelling.

"That's beautiful, Jimmy!"

"Oh, wait a minute," Jimmy said.

He rushed over and placed his hand in the lower right corner and pushed down.

"There, I'm waving to God and Mr. Johnson. There's my hand impression, Daddy."

The two of them stood there for a moment admiring his handiwork.

"Daddy, I wanted everyone to know that God loves them. Do you think God
will leave this one alone?"

"Jimmy, even God needs...'a little hand'...to remind us."

"I get it Daddy!"

We may never know how our kind words affected someone else who was down or
discouraged. It is important that we recognize the power that we have in
giving encouragement and recognition towards those around us. We will be
showing the love and compassion of Christ and whether we realize it or
not, we will be making an impact that can never be forgotten.

I encourage you to be quick in giving words of encouragement and blessing
whenever you have the opportunity to do so. Never think that your simple
words will not be powerful enough to change someone's day or even their
life. God calls us the children of Light and as such we are to brighten
the paths that are before us so that all men may see Who lives within us.
(Matthew 5:16) (1 Thessalonians 5:11-14) (Luke 6:30-36)

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Romans 12:14-18 "Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the
same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men
of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil
for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible,
as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men."

1 Peter 3:10-12 "For he that will love life, and see good days, let him
refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let
him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the
eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their
prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil."

Philippians 4:8-9 "Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever
things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen
in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you."

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.

Dear Friend,

We should always be quick to remember that it is the simple things in life
that bring the greatest joy. Many times we fall for the lie that having
material possessions is what is required for us to have contentment and joy
in our lives. Those who have experienced material possessions can testify
to the fact that the fun and joy that those possessions initially brought
soon disappeared and did not fill their spirit like they thought it would.
The only thing that can fill us with joy that is unspeakable and a peace
that is everlasting is the Spirit of God who dwells within us filling us
with all spiritual blessings and showing us that only He is required in
order for us to be content. (1 Timothy 6:6-12) (1 Corinthians 3:16-20)

Never allow the enemy to bombard your life with lies that you need certain
possessions in order to be complete. The only thing we truly need is the
Lord in our lives who fills us with His peace, joy and love that lasts for
all eternity. Be encouraged to trust the Lord with your life and allow Him
to lead and guide you all the days of your life. He knows you better than
you know yourself and wishes to lead you onto the best path as He sees fit.

I hope this message encourages your heart to see that it is the simple
things in life that bring the greatest Joy.

THE TRUE RICHES OF LIFE

I spent part of this morning taking pictures of some of the Autumn leaves
in the woods near my home. They are so beautiful this time of the year. The
reds, yellows, and gold's bring beauty to the eye, delight to the heart,
and joy to the soul. I have always considered them to be one of life's
treasures and I continue to grow in my appreciation of them with each passing
year.

The funny thing is that as my appreciation for God's glorious gifts of
nature grows, my desire for the material things in life shrinks. My wife
says I am very hard to buy a gift for, because I never want anything. I
guess the reason for that is I already feel like I have everything. I am
rich in all the eternal things. I am rich in love, joy, peace, and happiness. I
am rich in family, friends, and loved ones. I am rich in all the delights that
nature and life brings. I am rich in feeling the oneness of God all around me.

One of the truly richest people I ever knew was my Godfather. His name was
Frankie and he lived up the hill from our home. He was always smiling and
happy. He was a constant source of love and joy in my life. I visited him
everyday. The fact that he lived in an old house without electricity or
running water didn't bother either of us. He could have afforded a better
home, but having food, shelter, and clothes he was content. He knew the
true riches of life came from the soul not the pocketbook.

Remember then, the true riches of life aren't cars, homes, stocks, or cash.
The true riches of life are the joy, love, and light you carry within you.
The true wealth in life is the happiness you create and share with others.
May each and every one of you be forever wealthy in the true riches of life.

By Joseph J. Mazzella

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Acts 17:24-28 "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that
He is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed any thing,
seeing He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of
one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth,
and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their
habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after
Him, and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us: For in Him
we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets
have said, For we are also His offspring."

Psalm 28:6-8 "Blessed be the LORD, because He hath heard the voice of my
supplications. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in
Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song
will I praise Him. The LORD is their strength, and He is the saving strength
of His anointed."

Psalm 37:23-27 "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He
delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for
the LORD upholdeth him with His hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet
have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever
merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.  Depart from evil, and do good;
and dwell for evermore."

Matthew 6:19-21 Jesus says, "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon
earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through
and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither
moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor
steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
