Dear Friend,

There are many people in this world who are lost. They may be lost
spiritually, lost in their professional career, lost in their relationships and
they don't know how to get back on the right track. What we must all realize
is that we are all fallible and will be in need of assistance at some point in
our lives. We will never have all the answers to life's problems, but if we
have a humble heart and seek help, most times the answer to our dilemma is not
far away.

What keeps most people from seeking help is their arrogance, pride or ego.
People don't want to seem weak and if they admit to someone else that they are
lacking in a certain area, they believe that others will look down upon them
and see them as less than. What they must realize is
that feeling lost at some point in our lives is normal. We will not always
have the answer to life's problems, but others who have already gone down our
path may be able to help us become better, wiser and stronger than we were
before. Having a humble heart and realizing that it's okay to ask for help is
what elevates us to the heights of victory in our life. Realizing that we're
not perfect may help us to seek help quicker and in doing so, bring the answer
quicker as well.

No matter what you're going through in life, know that you can ask for help.
Whether it is asking God through prayer, seeking counsel from a pastor, asking
your spouse, your parent, your siblings or a professional.
The first step is recognizing that we have a problem and need help to resolve
it. The second step is knowing that it's okay to seek help so that we may
become better quicker and the third and most difficult step is swallowing our
pride and seeking help from someone who can resolve our issue. What we will
quickly find is that others are eager to help when we simply ask for it.
Confiding in someone else and admitting that we need help brings about
compassion, empathy and love and those ingredients can do so much to make a bad
situation so much better.

Be encouraged to seek help when you're feeling lost. Whatever the issue may
be, know that you can overcome it and become better in the end because of it.
Never think that you are weak because you need help. Asking for help makes you
stronger than you can ever know and overcoming that issue will make you feel on
top of the world. Don't keep holding it in when
help is so close to you. The Bible says that we are to ask, seek and knock and
when we do the door will be opened to us. I encourage you to follow that same
advice and ask, seek and knock until you find the answers that you are looking
for.

I hope this message encourages and challenges your heart to be quick to seek
help whenever you feel the need. Don't keep it to yourself and think that you
can solve everything, but rather ask someone to help you and you will find the
answer come to you that much quicker.

JUST ASK FOR IT

A snooty millionaire took some of his upper class friends yachting. They passed
a deserted island where a man with a long beard and tattered clothes stood,
waving his arms and screaming in their direction.

"Who is that?" asked the friend.
"I don't know," said the host, "but every time we sail by he goes crazy."

That may be an exception to a universal rule, which is that most people are
happy to help if they can. But there is another universal principle in play,
which is, unless you are stranded on a deserted island, you are probably
reluctant to ask for help - especially from a stranger.
Thankfully, most of the time we are not coping with a mayday emergency.

I recently learned that the word "mayday" has nothing to do with the month of
May. Instead, it comes from the French word "m'aidez," which means "help me."
But it is used only as a last resort. The plane is nose-diving.
The ship is fatally wounded. "Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!" a voice screams over the
radio. If help doesn't arrive quickly, all will be lost.

We laugh at the notion that men are famously bad about asking for directions.
But, in truth, most people do not easily ask for the help they need. They wait
until they are hopelessly lost, or the marriage is on the brink of collapse or
a simple job has become a nightmare before they seek help.

And it is also true that help is not usually too hard to get. But we have to
ASK for it.

Entrepreneur Brian Tracy puts it well: "Ask for what you want. Ask for help,
ask for input, ask for advice and ideas -- but never be afraid to ask." Or like
one man is fond of saying, "You don't always get what you ask for, but you
never get what you don't ask for (unless it's contagious)."

I once heard of a little girl who confidently approached a police officer.
"Are you a cop?" she asked.
"Yes."
"My mommy said that if I ever needed help I could ask you."
"Of course you can," the officer replied. "What do you need?"
She stuck out her foot. "Can you please tie my shoe?"

Do you need help? It may be easier to get than you think. Just ask for it.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Proverbs 3:5-7 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine
own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy
paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil."

Psalm 20:6-7 "Now know I that the LORD saveth His anointed; He will hear him
from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some trust in
chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our
God."

Ephesians 6:10-14 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the
power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and
blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of
the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore..."

Dear Friend,

There are many instances in life when we are tempted to lose our joy and only
think about the troubles and problems that are in our path. What we must
realize is that it is normal to have a problem, it is normal to face difficult
circumstances, it is normal to question why a tough situation
has come our way. When we realize that we are part of the human race and as
such are welcomed into the "problem club", that is when we can face our
situation with a renewed outlook seeing that we can come forth victorious in
the end even in spite and because of the things that we overcame in times past.
God has instilled within each of us unique gifts and talents that no one else
possesses. He has given us the fortitude to look a problem head-on and know
that we can overcome it. With God on our side, nothing shall be impossible to
us. We simply must remember where the power comes from. When we are quick to
give God all the credit, that is when miracles take place and supernatural
victories overtake us.

No matter what you may be going through, know that you still have the chance to
overcome. As long as you have breath in your lungs and hope in your heart,
then your story isn't finished yet. You still have the opportunity to come
forth better, wiser and stronger than you were before that situation. You must
simply dig your heels in the ground and be determined that nothing will be able
to hinder what the Lord has promised you. Be encouraged to hold on to hope.
Hope is a powerful tool and when used correctly it can help you to believe that
you will receive even in the midst of an otherwise impossible looking situation.

When we depend on God and place our hope in Him, then the Lord will move in
amazing ways to show Himself strong on behalf of those who put their faith and
trust in His abilities. Be encouraged again to hold on to hope.
Believe for greater things. Know that tomorrow will be better than today.
Don't give up and don't give in. Stay strong and confident because faithful is
He who has promised. If God said it, then you can rest assured that it will be
done.

I hope this message encourages your heart to keep holding on until your answer
comes. Keep faith and hope at the center of your heart and you'll see great
things take place.

WHAT'S HOPE?

1. Hope is knowing that a positive outcome awaits.
2. Hope is not only expecting a dream to come true, but having a deep assurance
that it's within your reach.
3. Hope is saying you can.
4. Hope is knowing that you can improve and that you always get better with
practice.
5. Hope is knowing that you can achieve your goals through hard work and
persistence.
6. Hope is looking to the future with joy and having an expectation of better
things to come.
7. Hope is the knowledge that life is everlasting, and that miracles happen
every day.
8. Hope is something that never abandons you. Even when your life is filled
with sadness and disappointment, a spark remains inside to help you get through
the rough times.
9. Hope is looking into the midst of darkness with confidence that light is
soon coming.
10. Hope is one of God's greatest gifts to you, because it's the magic that
inspires you to keep trying, learning, loving, and living.

Psalm 18:29-33 "For by Thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I
leaped over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect: the Word of the LORD is

LORD? or who is a rock save our God? It is God that girdeth me
with strength, and maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds' feet,
and setteth me upon my high places."

Dear Friend,

We should always be quick to give praise to whom it is due. Many times we get
so busy with our daily routines that we forget to recognize the efforts of
those around us. We neglect to give an encouraging word, to praise a deed well
done and to simply encourage those closest to us letting them know of how proud
we are of them. It will not take a great effort on our part to lift them up,
but to the recipient, it can mean the whole world.
Sometimes people just need to be reminded that they are greatly loved and
thought upon. When we go the extra step to reassure them with our love, that
is when relationships are strengthened and a bond becomes unbreakable.

Be encouraged to think on how you can speak a kind word, lift up and simply
encourage and reassure that one who is near and dear to your heart. When we
bless our relationships, that is seed being planted in good ground. In due
time the harvest will grow and we will see what great fruit will come forth
from the seeds that were planted. Do your part today and be a blesser with
your words. You will see what great impact your kind gestures will have upon
others.

I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart always say a kind word
to someone else when you have the opportunity. Be quick to recognize their
efforts and show them by your words, acts and deeds how proud you are of them.

I'M PROUD OF YOU!

Does anyone say it anymore? When I heard it the other day, it caught my
attention. It was like hearing something oddly familiar but distant and faint
in my memory.

You know, like things your grandmother used to say.

I needed to understand why. I mean, it just doesn't seem right that a phrase so
powerful would not be heard and used regularly.

"I'm proud of you!"

When was the last time you said that to someone? Not just someone you love, but
a neighbor, friend, or co-worker.

To a neighbor... "You make a difference in the world in everything you do.
I watch the people around you, how they react whenever you're there. They
smile, laugh often and feel better for having had you in their day, even if
ever so briefly. I'm proud of you!"

To a Friend... "You take on the challenges of life and never give in. You might
not always win, but you don't lose for lack of trying. I'm proud of you!"

To a co-worker... "You care. It shows in the way you do your work. You not only
do your job, you care about the details, the goals and the outcome. I'm proud
of you!"

To a child... "You didn't hit a home run, but you played with your heart in
every game. You never missed a practice; you tried your very best. That's a
home run in my book. I'm proud of you!"

To your spouse or partner... "We'll get through this together. Yes, you lost
your job, but so did many others. I see great determination in your eyes. I
love you even more in the difficult times because that's when you shine and the
world sees your best. I'm proud of you!"

Now for you, my "friend I've never met"...

"You take time each day to search out and read positive, uplifting messages on
the internet. Your love for people shows when you pass along special messages
for your friends facing challenges. Your faith is strong and evident when you
lift up others, offer spiritual support and encouragement
and pray for people you don't even know. You are a part of the world's largest
support group giving hope to those whose only connection to others may be the
internet. I'm proud of you!"

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Galatians 6:1-4 "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are
spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself,
lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the
law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing,
he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he
have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another."

Galatians 5:22-26 "...the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the
flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk
in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one
another."

Hebrews 13:1-3 "Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain
strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember them
that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as
being yourselves also in the body."

Philippians 2:3-7 "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in
lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every
man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form
of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no
reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the
likeness of men."

Dear Friend,

With the unpredictability of life, we should always do our best in every area
of life whether it be in our personal relationships, professional work
environment, dealing with strangers and even completing certain tasks. We
should do our work with excellence and a deep knowing in our hearts that we did
our absolute best. Life is too short to live it with regrets and when we do
something halfheartedly then we are not giving ourselves or others the chance
to get the best of what we have to offer. That is why I believe giving our all
in any particular task whether it be personal or professional is so important.
We will not have a second chance to make a
first impression. We won't be able to revisit a task after it has been
completed and when we don't do it at our best the first time with all of our
attention, with all of our zeal, with all of our wisdom and knowledge, then we
are not giving our absolute best and that is where we fail. We may not realize
in that moment, but when we think back on it over time, that is when regret
will come into the picture.

Realizing that regrets can do so much to ruin otherwise beautiful memories, we
should live in the moment more and have our mind future conscious so that when
that memory does reach the future, we will have already realized we did our
best back when we were in the moment. Regrets fill the minds and hearts of so
many people because they didn't realize or acknowledge the fact that they could
have done better in the past. Living future conscious makes our acts and deeds
more calculated and careful and that is so important in living life to the
fullest. Doing our best, loving with a pure heart, giving without motive,
teaching to help others rise higher and forgiving for our own betterment is
what each of us should strive to do each and every day that we are alive.
Living a full life is all that we can ask of ourselves and that's what we
should do each new day that we are
lucky enough to see.

I hope this message encourages and challenges your heart to live your life to
its fullest potential. Do all that you can with all your heart so that regrets
will never be a part of your life.

SLEEPING IN CLASS

I can still remember it like it was yesterday. I was a college freshman and had
stayed up most of the night before laughing and talking with friends. Now just
before my first class of the day my eyelids were feeling heavier and heavier
and my head was drifting down to my desk to make my
textbook a pillow. A few minutes nap time before class couldn't hurt, I thought.

BOOM! My head jerked up and my eyes snapped open wider than saucers. I looked
around with my heart pounding trying to find the cause of the noise. My young
professor was looking back at me with a mischievous, boyish grin on his face.
He had intentionally dropped the stack of
textbooks he was carrying onto his podium. "Good morning!", he said still
smiling. "I am glad to see everyone is awake. Now let's get started."

For the next hour I wasn't sleepy at all. It wasn't from the shock of my
professor's textbook alarm clock either. It was instead from the fascinating
discussion he lead. With knowledge and good humor he made the material come
alive. His insights were full of both wisdom and loving-
kindness. And the enthusiasm and joy that he taught with were contagious.
I left the classroom not only wide awake, but a little smarter and a little
better as well.

I learned something far more important than not sleeping in class that day too.
I learned that if you are going to do something in this life do it well, do it
with joy, and make it an expression of your love. What a glorious place this
would be if all of us did our work joyously and well.
What a beautiful world we could create if every doctor, teacher, musician,
preacher, cook, mechanic, waitress, businessman, fisherman, poet, miner,
farmer, and laborer made their work an expression of their love. Don't
sleepwalk your way through life then. Wake up! Let your love fill your
work and God's love fill your soul. Life is too short not to live it well.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

1 Peter 2:9-10 "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy
nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who
hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light: Which in time past
were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy,
but now have obtained mercy."

Philippians 2:13-15 "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do
of His good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye
may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of
a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world."

Colossians 3:16-17 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or
deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God and the Father by Him."

Matthew 9:35-38 "And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in
their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every
sickness and every disease among the people. But when He saw the multitudes, He
was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered
abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith He unto His
disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye
therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His
harvest."
