This hopefully will be well integrated into 1.2. It is in CVS now but
isn't working just right yet. Basically it is call Jetspeed Content
Markup and will allow you to publish content similar to Slashdot.

+1. It should use the Jetspeed Content Markup (JCM) <pubDate> tag.

"topics" are built into JCM/

That is up to the web server. There are entire separate projects for
doing just this and would be beyond the scope of Jetspeed IMO.

There are plans to work on this. Stay tuned. Anyone who has any code
to contribute is encouraged :)

This is been on the back of my plate. I just haven't had time to hop on
it. I need to spend more time here but this is a whole project in
itself to a certain point.

Be careful. Apache software isn't totally free. You should read the
licensing agreement.
