Hello all Why does Monday always drag LOL. Monday is when I spend all day at the shop and doesn't the day drag LOL. I start at 7am and work until noon then I get a three hour lunch break going back at 3 pm and finishing at around 6 or 7 pm. This evening it was 6:30 pm.
In my lunch three hours I did manage to watch a film 'On the Beach' (Neville Shute my favourite author) whilst I finished up some ironing, washed up the breakfast things and sorted out another cupboard in the kitchen. Unfortunately I had to return to work before the film finished .. never mind I thought, I'll tape the last half an hour and watch it whilst I am preparing the evening meal..... Its a shame I was only half listening when DH told me how to record on the new video ... seems I had it recording Line One instead of Program One ... well you guessed it ... all I got was 30 minutes of blue screen! Oh well at least I have seen it at least six times before LOL. This evening after dinner I came upstairs to do my book keeping job, well I started out with good intentions honest. Now could I help it if the pile of stuff that DH had dumped on my desk needed putting away, and could it be helped that the place where the bulk of it belonged needed reorganising. So I got carried away ... cut a long story short another cupboard in this house has been well and truly sorted and reorganised, a large bag of clutter has been despatched to the bin and there's a lot more room now. By the time I had finished it was time to dish up the dinner and everyone knows that its far too late to start work after dinner, especially if you have to really concentrate ... LOL. I learnt very early on that when juggling more that one paid job it is not a good idea to start work after dinner (8pm), that's when the mind is tired and most mistakes are made, not to mention that its just torture LOL. As I tend to be ready for my bed by 9pm it doesn't give a lot of time anyway so the only job that I do consider after our evening meal is sticking on stamps and sealing envelopes, that is all I am capable of at that time of night anyway. Plans for tomorrow: Finish the plans for the vegetable garden. As some of you may remember I was intending to do this at the weekend, I did make a start but as we where doing so well at the decluttering I was reluctant to get out the seed catalogues as I get lost in them for ever LOL. I finish at noon tomorrow, all being well, I would like to do some more laundry, the curtains in the office need washing and I would like to make a start on the blinds for the office. As the back of the house faces practically due south and my office is in the back, in the summer it is impossible to shade the sun out without closing the curtains, blinds however would still allow the natural light to come in whilst cutting down the glare. I need to do the book keeping tasks that I neglected to complete today but in my breaks I would like to: Go through my pyrex 'collection' (no other word for it) and pass on some of it. Declutter a few more books, namely the ones that live in the living room. complete my dalies and one weekly task. Tomorrow is also the funeral of a friend, so I will be out of the house tomorrow afternoon for a couple of hours. She was 4 years younger that I am now and leaves behind a husband and two young children. She had Scloroderma a very rare condition [http://www.raynauds.demon.co.uk/] although it was a routine operation that brought it to a conclusion, she just never recovered from the anaesthetic. When things like this happen to people that you know it certainly has an effect on your outlook on life and what is important. Well on that sad note I will close, it is well past my bedtime and its another early start in the morning. Good night, sweet dreams Louise
