[JFC]: Checking In

Happy Friday to all!

I'm just checking in here to let you know that I'm still alive.  Let's see ... the painters have come and gone and DS's bedroom and the hallway look terrific!  Was going to do it myself, but have been putting it off for about a year now.  Still waiting for the wallpaper guy, but it's very nearly done.  My mother and sister will be here next weekend and will be staying a week, so I have much to accomplish before then.  DD's third birthday is in less than 2 weeks and there is much to do for that as well.

The police woke me up at midnight the other night.  Picked up DS (16) who couldn't sleep and decided to go for a walk.  There are curfew laws around here, and the officer took this opportunity to chastise me for not controlling my child.  What should I do, handcuff him to the bed?  Anyway, after a subsequent visit to his therapist, it was decided that his anti-depressant meds aren't working properly (really?).  So, those of you who are praying people, I would appreciate any spare prayers you may have for us.

Okay, I'm off to throw another load of laundry in, then to the mall for a christening gift for Sunday, then lunch with the kids.  Will return this afternoon with much enthusiasm (hopefully) for a few hours of down and dirty cleaning.
