> The police woke me up at midnight the other night. Picked up DS (16) who couldn't

and decided to go for a walk. There are curfew laws around here, and the officer took
this opportunity to chastise me for not controlling my child. What should I do,
handcuff
him to the bed?

T*** Curfew laws? A 16-year-old can't take a night-time walk around his own
neighbourhood?
Do you live in Afghanistan or what? I would suggest that the problem lies with your
local
by-laws, and not your son, who is walking off his teenage issues. At that age, they're
seething with existential issues. Walking sounds like a healthy enough response to a
restless, churning mind. And showing a healthy disrespect for dumb local bylaws that
seek
to treat youths like animals, sounds even
healthier!!!
