Just a follow-up - when I asked a similar question on the suse-linux-e list, someone quoted the folowing from the SuSE 9.3 Release Notes: "Due to technical problems with JFS it is not supported anymore. The kernel file system driver is still there, but YaST will not offer partitioning with JFS."
