i almost missed your post, but now i remember the error message. i had a

same here. fsck did finish, rebooting again showed some errors, fsck
again (jfsutils-1.1.8) and from then on everything seems to be ok.
Is there anything about JFS and kernel 2.6.11+ I need to know or understand?
i try to track the latest 2.6-mm kernels very closely on this machine
(x86_64, jfs on root partition). the other box (i386) is running
2.6-stable with a pretty busy jfs on /var and is running *very* stable.
