Do you have JFS on / too?

I'm installing SuSE Linux 9.3 on a machine with 3 partitions: /, /boot, /home - 
all with
JFS.  I have already several boxes with a similar config - we only use JFS - 
but these
are all still on kernel 2.4.(29|30|31).  The installation works just fine, but 
at some
point during boot-up, I start seeing : "ERROR: (device hd(3,3)): XT_GETPAGE: 
xtree page
corrupt" which leaves the root file-system read-only. 

I've reproduced this on at least 2 machines.
