Mario,
Someone has clearly tweaked your Normal.dotm at some point in the past
such that the default font color is white. Your Normal.dotm file should be
found under the following folder:
C:\Users\{insert your user ID or Windows Abbreviation for it
here}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates
You can also use a Windows Search to find it provided you have made sure to
allow hidden files and folders to be shown.
You should edit this Normal document template, that serves as the basis for all
blank MS-Word documents you create, to have the default properties you want.
Do this by opening Word itself first, then opening the Normal.dotm file by
navigating to it in the File->Open browse dialog. If you double click on it
instead all that does is open a new blank document in Word rather than editing
the Normal document template such that the changes you make stick.
Once you've tweaked anything you want to tweak, e.g., font, size, etc., simply
save the file. After that any new blank documents you create should have the
precise properties you've set in the Normal.dotm file by default.
