Brian, as you directed, when I opened the file, I got a ding when I down
arrowed. the file name is normal.dotm with a size of 21 and a date of
1/29/2016.

past such that the default font color is white. Your Normal.dotm file

simply save the file. After that any new blank documents you create
should have the precise properties you've set in the Normal.dotm file by
default.
