There is no reason to give up. We'll get it straightened out because if it
works for me it'll work for you.
It should not be necessary to fool with other settings. It's possible some
bad settings were saved previously but before we get into that I want to
know the results of reading ten lines, as I specified in my last message.
Please tell me about all ten lines with specific text and, most importantly,
when and where you see the blinking cursor.
