I just went to the Webvisum site to try to educate myself further, but
when I clicked on the tutorial link, I got a 404 not found. Anybody got
a working tutorial that I can read so I'll know what I'm about to do to
my browser? (I like to read before I act.)
Thanks,
Brad Martin

Hi JAWS users:
While the major IE security breechwas recently patched, it's worth
remembering that FireFox allows use of WebVisum for solving CAPTCHAs
as well as other visual functions.

My University actually is on Windows 7, and IE 11.
Because they experienced a major security breech earlier this year, I
think
they are a bit paranoid.

Firefox and Internet Explorer are virtually interoperable with JAWS.
The bigger question is, on what operating system are you running IE that
your university suspects security problems? In fact, Microsoft just
released
some security-fix patches this past week for IE version
11 on Windows 7, which makes me think your college is still on XP, or an
older version (perhaps 9?) of Internet Explorer.

Hello, everyone.
The University where I teach is very strongly urging all of us to
switch from Internet Explorer to another internet browser such as
Firefox, in light of recent Internet Explorer security issues.
I'm seriously considering making the switch to firefox, and would like
to know how much of a transition this will be in terms of basic
internet navigation.
Does Jaws operate in basically the same way with Firefox as it does
with Internet Explorer?
In other words, to the same basic Jaws key strokes and commands work
with Firefox?
I'm using Windows 7 and Jaws 14 here.
Thank you!
