Hi J, 1. Press the Windows Key to open the start menu & you should be in the search field. 2. Type in, control panel, a list of options should come up, & press enter on, control panel. I may be off a little on the steps since I have a control panel shortcut icon on my desktop & I don't have Win7 system accessible to me at the moment but, below is a link where you can get many shortcuts for Win7:
