I have a Yoga 2 11, which is a similar machine though not quite as powerful as what you're looking at. I love the machine with one exception. The function keys are used for other things, and it doesn't even seem as though you can use the FN key with them to get normal function keys. This can be fixed quite easily, though, if you have sighted assistance. I have an article that tells you step-by-step how to do it. I can email it off list if you would like. Now that I have that problem fixed, I absolutely love the machine. I take it almost everywhere, and I'd venture to say that I use it like some people use their iPads or other mobile devices. Hope this helps.

Subject: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro? Hi everyone, I am thinking of purchasing a new laptop running Windows 8.1. I’ve heard some good things about the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, which is a hybrid laptop/tablet. I’m wondering if anyone is using this model with Jaws, and, if so how well does it work? I’m running Jaws 16. The Yoga 2 Pro I’m looking at has an i7 Haswell processor, 8 GB of RAM and a 260 GB SSD drive. Some of the reviews I’ve read are good and some are not so good, but that’s usually the way with user reviews. There is a newer model, the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro which has a new 5th generation processor, but apparently the battery life isn’t as good, and it’s an extra 300 dollars or so. I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who is using any of the Yoga Pro models. I’d also appreciate hearing about any laptops people are using with Jaws that work well. Thanks, Russell _______________________________________________ Jfw mailing list [email protected] http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com _______________________________________________ Jfw mailing list [email protected] http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com
