Another text entry method could be a "tree" method that would require
only two clicks for nearly any letter. First Screen:

second screen if VolDown ("ABCDE") is pressed:

The screen for "VWXYZ-other" would look something like

with "XYZ" yielding something like

For Lazy Search, "other" would encompass digits & other misc. items. So
"Pink Floyd" would be something like
Pause, VolDown ("p"), VolUp, Pause ("i"), Rew, Pause ("n"), Rew,
VolDown ("k"), Fwd, VolDown (space), etc.
This might even work for general text entry, but that might require
three clicks to allow for diacriticals, e.g. clicking to "N" might
yield

For screens where captitalization mattered, the wheel could be used to
toggle case. For general text entry, the "other" option would bring up
something like the current Jive character picker, but without any
letters.
