OK, it's a bit difficult as the behavior seems a bit random. My obervations, i. Yes there is no good UI feedback except watching the progress bar. Not good. ii. Pause resumes normal playback ONE key press, for me. iii. Rewind is flaky. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. iv. Sometimes when rewinding the progress-bar does not move, this is especially bad since i. v. Sometimes after rewinding the progress-bar completely stops working. It'll change to the beginning upon changing track in playlist, but does not move. To get it to work again I have to start a new playlist (pause,stop,fwd,rew,next,prev does not help). I am pretty indifferent as to whether the feature stays in or is left out for the upcoming release; I know about the quirks. But it seems clear? that fwd/rew as it is now does not have production quality, and so I'd suggest that it isn't touted as a feature.
