Thanks for the response. I followed your suggestion, and now I am rocking with the new Duet synch-ing nicely with my SB3! I hadn't realised that it was possible to connect to routers WAN to WAN (so to speak), so you learn something new everyday.
This does prompt one question. I'd always vaguely wondered (but never really had the need/motivation to try) about popping open a port to the SC and connecting a SB to it remotely as I believe that there is no reason why this should not work as you can enter an IP address to connect to. Is this not possible with the Duet? I ask only out of curiosity as it's not really something I expect to want to do in practice.
