I'm serious.  I wanted to SSH into it but couldn't because it went to
sleep.  I suppose this is a fringe use case, but still - if someone
takes it out of the charger they would expect it to be ready to go (not
asleep, WLAN on).

If they leave it sit overnight out of the charger then yes, it is
reasonable that it's asleep, but not directly out of the charger.
