Wouldn't a new user wonder why it takes 10-15 seconds for the controller to wake up when they take it out of the cradle? Shouldn't it respond immediately like a conventional remote?
My reputation is growing on this board as being non-green but for the pennies a year this uses in power it's a worthwhile tradeoff. Dimmed the controller uses 290 mA from a 3.7 V battery. This is 1.07 W. At 90% efficiency from the switching PS, it's drawing 1.19 W. That's 10.44 kWh per year. At 5.2 cents per kWh, that's $0.54 a year! -- Mark Lanctot Ben Klass: "I won't even eat a pre-7.0 meal. Well, unless it involves bacon."
