This happened to me the other day with a Squeezebox2. It had been playing Random Song Mix (sounds like http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?p=269239 indeed). I think I stopped the random song mix that by turning the SB2 off. The SB2 is in the kitchen and microwave oven use always knocks out its connection.
