The SB2/3 has a software-controllable headphone output - it can either be used as a normal audio output for headphones, or it can be configured to send IR Blaster signals. Felix (who wrote the PowerSwitch plugin) used the IR Blaster capability to simply output a fixed 3V DC, which can then be used as a signal that the SB is switched on. This signal is typically used to control a relay that activates ancilliary equipment (eg. an amplifier).
Seeing as this thread has been resurrected, I may as well point out that I've found a solution to the issue of getting a signal out of the Receiver to indicate when it's switched on. I posted in a thread over on the DIY forum, but here's a link to the relevant details: http://www.delback.co.uk/squeezebox/sbr_signal.html -- cliveb Transporter -> ATC SCM100A ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43607 _______________________________________________ jive mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/jive
