Is this from experience, or from what you've read? Is it really more trouble than just plugging one of these (http://xponenta.com/cgi/shop.cgi?page_type=detail&sku=4816B2) $20 devices in a 220/240v outlet if you *both* 1) have phase problems with powerline signals *and* 2) your SC7 host is too far from an AC jack on the other "side" of your wiring to put an RF-enabled module like a TM751 on each "side" of your AC? (You can use a TM751 as a powerline/RF bridge -- whatever RF commands it sees it will resend as powerline signals, even if they're for different house codes.) > A think AC switching accessory would be a welcome addition to the SD > products for many customers. > No doubt! Given how similar the SBR is to the Squeezebox Classic, I have to wonder whether an aftermarket headphone/IR mod that PowerSwitchII and IRBlaster could support would be feasible. Sean, Felix, care to comment on that? Is the Wolfson-using analog section too different for the DIY crowd to solder in mini phone jacks? -- peterw http://www.tux.org/~peterw/ free plugins: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/#slim AllQuiet BlankSaver BottleRocket FuzzyTime SaverSwitcher SleepFade StatusFirst SyncOptions VolumeLock ------------------------------------------------------------------------ peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43607 _______________________________________________ jive mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/jive
