Yah, I got that & got SqueezeOS to build (mostly). Actually, I'm on Ubuntu Hardy (8.04), and I couldn't get ja-trans (some kind of a conflict w/ nettools), so it didn't completely compile, but it was enough to convince me I've got everything setup OK. BTW, is there an easy way to eliminate the need for ja-trans? (I'm not concerned w/ a Japanese translation...).
Anyhow, seemed like I was close enough since I don't think I should have to replace the whole OS to do the LIRC stuff (although I'm open to suggestions on the best way to approach this). What I was just trying to figure out how to use the crosstools to compile LIRC (what envir variables, etc, I needed). For the moment I took the approach of just adding LIRC to the existing Makefile, so that it hopefully would have everything setup properly, but I'm still working through that. When I first tried it, LIRC's configure complained that I wasn't set up right, and I should set cross compiling instead of native compiling. That's where I'm at right now. -- caveman ------------------------------------------------------------------------ caveman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18237 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49513 _______________________________________________ jive mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/jive
