Based on your version number, you're using Windows. The Windows builds currently do not show a build number. Recently there have been some fixes incorporated so make sure you're downloading one of the 7.41 beta nightly versions.
I have 7 instances of Squeezeplay installed on 6 XP Pro and 1 XP Home machine. All play fine. The one thing that is broken is syncing to other players or the Controller (I have a Duet system). Otherwise, I am able (sometimes with some tweezing) to get most things working - including registering all players on MySb.com. One thing I noticed was that when I installed, the 'default' volume seemed to be extremely low. The solution was to increase volume (using the '-' and '=' keys decreases/increases volume).
