OK, that is good news :( So the bug is indeed reproducable... Fabian, I am 
using Debian woody too... which JDK are you using? Blackdown's?

Miguel, what would be the best way to nail this basterd? Do debug output for 
each time the paint() method is used? and see in which call it goes wrong?
Which variables would you need to be outputed too, to get an idea on what 
might go wrong?
