ah, yes. That's item #41 -- use of unicode I just added. The lesson is 
that you can't just say "\uxxxx" in a string in IE, with the x 
characters just like that. Apparently Mozilla is smart enough to 
recognize that \uxxxx is not a real unicode character; MSIE complains.
