It isn't clear to me what you are trying to do.

Are you saying that you would *rather* use Chime than Jmol?
Why on earth would you want to do such a thing?!

Yes, it is possible, but on the server you would need to detect which
browser they are running and return different HTML pages. I suspect that
is a *lot* more than you want to get into.

The <applet> tag that is used by Jmol is not the same as the mime-types
that are used by plug-ins. That is why you would need to send back
different web pages from the server.

The applet doesn't use any mime-types. So no configuration of the
web-server is necessary. It simple loads the file that is specified in the
<param> tag.
