Regarding my problem with Jmol 11 using Richardson 500 files, Bob wrote:

and said the problem was fixed in 11.1.

I just downloaded 11.1.31 from Sourceforge, but it gives exactly the  
same problem. Running the file from the jar as an app I get more info  
(for 1AYL):
Error reading file at line 519
HET     ATP     541     34
String Index out of range 70

And similarly for the other files, it's choking on the short HET  
lines, which are filled with spaces in the files downloaded from RCSB  
PDB.

I was doubting I had the right version, but in the Scripting Console  
the State command confirms 11.1.31.

Let's leave the other problems until I've got this sorted (if I do).  
They still occur, but they are probably just poor or obsolete command  
series on my part. I don't use Jmol for my own research, as it were,  
I just want to provide views of stuff pulled from a server for a  
colleague who uses RasMol all the time. Hence my scripts are a bit  
bastard.
